So… I’m in love with Tom Hiddleston.
I thought I was fairly unique in that regard, but then, recently, I found out that he’s very very very popular with the ladies now.

Pennies…wait, no… Dollars from Heaven!
I’m like unbelievably shocked… in a good way.
So as I’m sure a lot of people know, I’m fundraising to go to China to work at a foster home for children with disabilities and special needs. It’s been a very interesting and blessed experience. Even though I just started fundraising a few days ago, the response has been very warm with donations and a lot of encouragement coming my way (thank You, Jesus!).
But this one was the biggest shocker.
My roommate, Jamie, saw my box I made for donations last night and she decided to give me her change jar (it’s a big Coca-Cola can, lol). She was like, “Oh, I want to support you. This is all I have. It’s not much though.” And I looked at it and it really didn’t seem like that much, but still, I was very touched that she would donate it all.
So today, I started counting it for fun. But then as I was counting all of the coins, I got very shocked because it was WAY MORE money than I expected.
I won’t say the exact amount but it was over $50 and it was the biggest donation that I’ve received yet!
Jamie, thank you so much for your beautiful heart. Maybe angels were putting in coins while we were sleeping ;P It really is a mini-miracle. And as always, Jesus, I give you all of the glory <3
Maybe it’s because I know how to read Korean, but I found this more confusing than helpful, lol.
And now that I’m learning Chinese, I really do think Korean is easy to READ (but our grammar is quite hard compared to Chinese grammar). Chinese characters… you just memorize them… there’s no room to be lazy in Chinese class T.T

I’ve been really encouraged! People have been responding to my fundraising and my trip with donations and encouragement.
I think the fact that there is such a need to take care of these forgotten “hidden treasures” is what is spurring people on to donate. The response has been lovely <3

I am fundraising for my trip to China this summer (June 21-July 12)! :D
I’m very excited. This is my first trip overseas, my first time going to China, and my first time fundraising. It’s all new experiences!
It’s going to be at Hidden Treasures Home, which was started by Loaves and Fishes International (www.loavesandfishesintl.com). I’ll be going with other Alabaster Group members! Yay! Alabaster Group is a student-run Christian organization for Ivy League and MIT students set on spreading the love of Christ.
I really wanted to go on this trip because 1. I really love Chinese people and the language (I’m taking Intermediate Chinese at Columbia right now) and 2. I love children. And these are CHINESE CHILDREN :D I want to love on them and let them know how beautiful they are. Since Chinese society is not very receptive and loving towards children with disabilities and special needs, these children were abused and abandoned by their parents. So they don’t just struggle with their disabilities but also with the rejection from the very people who were supposed to love them.

Lol, I’m listening to the P&P soundtrack… again…
I have this weird obsession with this movie and the book. I’m not really a chick-flick type of girl, but man, this movie gets to me. Maybe because it’s so simple and pure. The world these days seems to focus so much on one-night stands and hookups and etc. Or at least that’s what it seems like in the media.
Sigh… my Mr. Darcy will come.
